New Features

• TN5250 Mode

A new option has been added to the Options, Configuration Menu which allows selection of the TN5250 Mode, Enhanced for TN5250E or Normal for TN5250 system operation. This option allows operation of the TN5250 tests to run in TN5250E mode or TN5250 mode.

• TN5250E Internet Draft Conformance Tests

A new library, V5250E, containing twenty two tests for verifying conformance with the 5250 Telnet Enhancements Internet Draft and RFC’s 854, 855, 856, 858, 885, 1091, 1205, and 1572 has been added. This library contains 325 tests.

• TN5250E Printer Tests

A new library, WSFPRT, containing six tests for verifying TN5250E SCS printing has been added.

• TN5250E Host Emulation Application

A new library, HE5250, containing one test has been added. This test is a multi-session online banking application. This is a multi-user online banking application which allows customization of the bank name and customer names for demonstrations.

• TN5250E and WSF Trace Decoding

          The TN5250E protocol and 3270 Write Structured Field (WSF) decoding has been added to the Summary and Detailed Traces.

Enhancements

• TN5250/TN5250E Display Tests

All tests in the B5250, EB5250, and MS5250 libraries can now be run in Enhanced (TN5250E) or Normal (TN5250) mode.

• V3270E

Tests 2 and 9 have been updated for RFC 2355 conformance

• EB5250

Test 4, subtest 9 will now auto-continue as soon as input is received.

Test 24 now waits for responses.
