SDTF^TM Version 7725 contains many new features, benefits, and improvements.

New Session Generator

The LU2C and LU2F Multiple PU/LU and LU3A Printer Tests now support up to 1,024 concurrent sessions with a maximum of 255 PUs for SDLC and LAN.

New 3270/5250 Data Stream Formatter

The DSFMT Utility decodes 3270 and 5250 raw hex data or LU1 printer control codes into commands, orders, and attributes. DSFMT output can be used for problem determination and to easily create new test cases from trace files.

Trace Summary and Detail Enhancements

The Summary and Detail trace output has been enhanced to decode both 3270 and 5250 data streams.

Corrections

The following test Libraries have received corrections and/or improvements: DFC, DLC, DSPT, EDSPT, LU2B, LU2C, LU2D, LU2F, LU2G, SECOND, TOOLBOX.

The latest release information is available on line by changing to the \SDTF7 directory and entering:

"SDISPLAY READ7725.ME"

Multi-LU DSPT 5250 Performance Tests

MS5250 test cases are designed to stress and measure the performance of multiple sessions attached to clusters, bridges, routers, LLC convertors, or gateways using a wide variety of 5250 data streams in a highly reproducible manner.

3270 Client Emulator

Secondary Test 422 now emulates 3270 display station functions, supports up to 254 sessions, and can be used with all LU2C Tests.

Select Tests by Category

The Library Menu now contains a select test "By category" option. It displays test library categories and helps the user navigate among test libraries.
