The SNA Client Simulation System (SNAsec) is a specially modified version of the SNA Host Simulation System (SNAsim), which functions as a 3270 client (emulator) and supports up to 254 SNA (SDLC/LAN) display sessions. The functions provided by SNAsec are similar to those provided by SDTF Secondary Test 422, except it can be used with all 3270 test cases. SNAsec is a stand-alone program with the same hardware and software requirements as SDTF/SNAsim. SNAsec is located in the \SDTF7\SNASEC subdirectory for SDTF and the \SNASIM\SNASEC subdirectory for SNAsim.
SNAsec accepts session startup commands from the host or host simulator (SDTF or SNAsim), receives data for each active LU, and sends appropriate responses back to the corresponding session when it receives 3270 read modified or read modified commands, SNA DR1 requests, and pacing requests for an active LU.
