Applied Computer Technology Year 2000 (Y2K)
Compliance Statement
![]()
Year 2000 is currently a major issue facing the computer industry vendors and customers. Applied Computer Technology (ACT) provides the following statement of our products Y2K compliance.
Compliance Statement
ACT is committed to ensuring that our products:
| SDTF | SNA Development Test Facility | |
| ITF | Internetworking Test Facility | |
| SNAsim | SNA Host Simulator |
can accurately process dates greater than 1999. Our products date-based functionality will operate consistently for dates in the 20th and 21st centuries. Any place in which our products locally reference or display a date will be Y2K compliant. Dates on local screens, log trace files or any data containing dates transmitted to the Implementation Under Test (IUT) will be Y2K compliant.
The PCs system BIOS and the PC-DOS Version utilized must also be Y2K compliant for our products to work correctly. ACT has designed or revised our products so that no functions within the product are date sensitive. If, however, the operating environment is not Y2K compliant then our products will probably be affected, and unexpected behavior may be experienced.
ACT Product Y2K Compliance Status
All products with the following versions or later are fully Y2K compliant.
| Product | Compliance Version | |
| ITF | 8331, March 1998 | |
| SNAsim | 8727, July 1998 | |
| SDTF | 8630, June 1998 |
All customers with current Software Maintenance Agreements will automatically receive our Y2K compliant products. Previous versions of our products may not be Y2K compliant.
